PrimusLabs Celebrates Virtual Grand Opening of New Laboratory in Mexico

Offering pesticide residue analysis and microbiological testing, the Guadalajara lab, located in the industrial zone of Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, is PrimusLabs’ fourth laboratory in Mexico. It is, however, the first of the Mexican labs to offer pesticide residue analysis. The Guadalajara lab joins the other PrimusLabs’ locations in Culiacan, Mexicali, and Irapuato. Salazar believes the new location “offers PrimusLabs a great opportunity to serve new clients in the agricultural and agri-food industries of the Jalisco region.”
The new microbiological laboratory offers testing for pathogens and indicator organisms in product, water, soil, or environmental surfaces. The new pesticide residue lab will provide Multi-residue Screens (MRS) for over 400 chemical compounds. With over 30 years of experience in the food safety industry, PrimusLabs’ chemists are specialists in fresh produce. With the new residue lab in Mexico, Diaz says, “While clients in Mexico will always have the ability to send pesticide residue samples to our headquarter location in Santa Maria, California, the new lab will allow clients to have the option to submit their samples to a local laboratory for testing. The Guadalajara laboratory offers our fresh produce clients’ the unique opportunity to have a pesticide residue laboratory nearby, in some circumstances saving time and shipping expenses.”
The new venture also allows PrimusLabs to offer Primus Group’s integrated services in Mexico.
