PrimusLabs to Open New Laboratory in Mexico

PrimusLabs is excited to announce the opening of a new laboratory near Guadalajara, Mexico. The new laboratory, scheduled to open in Spring 2021, will be located at Parque Industrial Grunpark, La Llave 1 Sur. Av. Del Carmen in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco. It will include both chemical and microbiological labs.

The new pesticide residue lab will be only the second chemical laboratory in the history of PrimusLabs. The first residue lab, opened in 1987 in Santa Maria, California, serves as PrimusLabs headquarters. The microbiological lab is the fourth micro lab in Mexico and will be the company’s eighth micro lab overall. Other labs are located in Santa Maria, California; Salinas, California; Yuma, Arizona; Lakeland, Florida; Culiacan, Sinaloa; Mexicali, Baja California; and Irapuato, Guanajuato.

The Director of PrimusLabs de Mexico Ivan Salazar has spent months researching lab locations, hiring staff, and setting up the labs’ operations. Salazar has tapped Jacobo Diaz to serve as the Tlaquepaque laboratory supervisor. Salazar stated, “We are very excited about the opening of this new laboratory in Guadalajara. It is a region with a lot of agricultural potential and food processing plants. Having a laboratory in this area will give us the opportunity to strengthen our relationship with current clients and seek new business opportunities. Our objective is to help our customers to comply with their food safety programs and the requirements of their buyers, offering our services in an integral way, with the best response times, and the most trained personnel. As an added plus, the flow of PrimusLabs laboratory results into the Azzule platform provides our clients with a solution for the management of their food safety information.”
